Klepner's team of expert jewelers offer valuations and technical reporting services from our Melbourne location. Valuations are completed in the order received, typically between 7-10 business days. Same-day services are available by appointment only.

We can help you sort through large amounts of jewellery to determine which pieces are worth selling or having valued. Useful for large inheritance or estate cases.

Jewellery Valuation

Our valuation certificates come professionally bound with a detailed description and photograph of the piece, as well as a registered valuers seal and signature. Valid for a variety of purposes including insurance, probate, legal, re-sale, technical & customs (F.O.B.).

When selecting the duration of your appointment, please allow 30 minutes per piece. If you select a 60 minute appointment and arrive with more than 2 pieces, we will be unable to complete them all in the same day. Limit of 10 pieces per appointment.

Cultural Gifts Program

Klepner's Jewellery is approved to provide valuation certificates for the Australian Government Cultural Gifts Program.

Family Law & Estate

As part of our valuation services, we will work directly with you and your lawyers to assist with family law, divorce, and deceased estate cases. We will also perform a assessment of your collection, free of charge.

Technical Report

$300 Per Piece

Detailed forensic assessment of damaged jewellery. Accepted by insurance companies, and often used in VCAT hearings.

Specialty Valuation

$150 Per Piece or Identical Set

Receive a valuation certificate for medallions, silverware, precious metal, gemstones, or carved statues.

Ronnie Bauer

Ronnie Bauer, lead valuer and owner of Klepner's Jewellery, has over 30 years of expertise in modern, vintage, and antique jewellery appraisal. He's been a Registered Valuer with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers since 1981— literally helping write the book on jewellery valuing, and is one of only three approved valuers for the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program in Melbourne.
